What is stress?  Some scientists define stress as any force that impairs the stability of the organism and causes the system to respond in order to re‐establish homoeostasis. Anything that creates dis-harmony, change brought about that you have to adapt to can create and perpetuate stress!

On Death and Dying

Death – the one thing in life that is inevitable, not negotiable and totally unavoidable. The one thing that we all share a universal fear of.

Nobody wants to think about it. Death – This state of being that can happen at any moment, anytime and anyplace. It makes us vulnerable and creates a sense of insecurity that forms our beliefs and hampers our existence somewhat, even if we refuse to consciously acknowledge it.

Food Security for All

Aquaponics is a method of producing vegetables and protein by combining hydroponics and aquaculture. An aquaponic system is a sustainable way of growing food. It makes use of the excrement of a fresh water aquatic animal (fish, prawns or crayfish) to create the fertiliser for the hydroponic plant based portion of the system. A symbiotic system is created where the excrement from the animals being raised are converted into nitrates by nitrifying bacteria. The nitrates are consumed by the plants as nutrients thus cleaning the water which is returned to the fish tank.

For many years I have found myself constantly drawn to various the alternative options to healing.  I intuitively knew there was more to life than that that I was experiencing and searched for answers in the esoteric section of the bookstores (which was usually about half a shelf) and at the hands of healers in the hopes of finding and connecting with a particular modality.  I enrolled in healing courses There was always something that was not quite connecting and my confidence was really low.  In 2012, I was at an all time low and searching for someone to teach me how to meditate.
